Mulching vs. Bulldozing
Why Choose Forestry Mulching
01
Everything is processed on site
Growth is ground down where it stands. Nothing piles up, nothing waits for a burn day, and no debris trucks roll in and out of your property.
02
You decide what stays
Before any machine starts, we walk the property together. Show Angelo the trees and areas you want left alone, and that's exactly how it gets cut.
03
The ground is left protected
Roots stay in the soil and a cover layer stays on top of it. Bare dirt and washouts after heavy rain are far less of a problem than with dozing.
04
Most jobs wrap up fast
One machine handles cutting, processing, and spreading in a single pass, so typical residential jobs are measured in days rather than weeks.
Not sure if mulching is the right call?
Describe the property over the phone or send the details. If dozing, clearing, or grading fits better, you'll hear that from us first.

How Estimates Work
What Affects the Price of a Mulching Job
No two properties price the same, which is why we walk yours first. You leave that visit with a firm written number for the whole job, and nothing moves until you approve it.

What We Look At On The Walk-Through
Growth Density
Light brush and briars take less time than thick privet, saplings, and tangled undergrowth.
Tree Size
The size, quantity, and spacing of unwanted trees determine how much machine time the job takes.
Terrain & Access
Slope, rock, wet ground, fences, and the path into the work area all affect the plan.
Finished Result
We scope around what you want the property ready for, from better access to future pasture or a build site.

Common Questions
Before We Bring The Mulcher
Not sure whether mulching is right for your land? Call Angelo and describe the property. If another clearing method fits better, he'll tell you.
Ask Angelo: (704) 981-0795Already had mulching done? Read what to do after forestry mulching.
How long does forestry mulching take?
Most residential jobs finish in one to two days. Larger acreage, heavy growth, difficult terrain, or limited access can add time. You get a realistic timeline with the written estimate.
Can you work around trees I want to keep?
Yes. That's one of the main advantages over bulldozing. Flag them or point them out on the walk-through and we clear only the undergrowth around them.
What happens to the brush and trees?
It gets ground into a mulch layer that stays on the ground as cover. Nothing gets burned and nothing gets hauled off unless you specifically want it removed.
How much does forestry mulching cost?
Every property is different, so we don't quote sight unseen. Growth density, tree size, terrain, access, and the finished condition you want all move the number. The on-site estimate is free and the price is firm and in writing.
Will the brush grow back?
Some regrowth is normal because the roots stay in the ground. A mowing or spot-treatment pass in the first growing season usually keeps it down. Our guide on what to do after mulching walks through the whole plan.
Can I build on mulched ground?
Not directly. Building needs stumps pulled and the area cut to grade, which is land clearing and grading work. Tell us the plan up front and we'll scope it so nothing has to be redone.
How far do you travel?
Charlotte and roughly an hour out, including Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, Gaston, and Iredell counties plus York County, SC.
